I may have gotten a little carried away on my bird...🤷♀️
I feel like it's a salute to the bird that is determined to build a nest under the eaves on my porch.
That bird!, hands on hips, Brenda I'm calling her, and I have it out every year...she wants to build her nest directly above where my porch swing is...and if I sit on the porch swing once Brenda has laid her eggs she dives at my head. I can't be within 20 ft of Brenda without a standoff...
Every year it comes back and we go through the same loud discussion.
We're both flapping our arms.
I've tried emmediately to remove her nest as soon as she builds it and it's right back the next day, and messier than before, Brenda is frustrated with me now and cleaning up after herself is no longer in the negotiations.
Every year I give in.
The other day I saw the nest starting again, it's a little bit early for it, I think she's getting ready to quarantine.
We had one more snowstorm a couple of days ago, winter's final salute. I feel like I got the last laugh with that, poor Brenda ( teehee)... but my motherly side decided to immortalize her on this dress. She fought a good fight, and did win afterall, nest is intact.
She is now painted in a much prettier color palette than she really is , don't tell her...I may hurt her feelings.
She doesn't look annoyed with me in embroidery...she may be my Mona Lisa of embroidered birds.
Who am I kidding...I'm never going to wear this dress...wayyyy to much for me.
