Amritsar, Punjab, India: After the relaxation of lockdown, devotees were seen thronging to the holy shrine of Gurdwara Sri Harmandir Sahib again. As we all know that to prevent the infection of COVID-19, wearing masks and social distancing have been advised. But it is not strictly followed by majority of the people. Most of the devotees are not covering their faces with masks. Keeping in view the Coronavirus Pandemic Outbreak, the SGPC has to open all the four gates of the shrines for the devotees so that proper social distancing will be followed.
Nodal Officer for Golden Temple and SMO, Mannawala, Dr Nirmal Singh told that his team has been screening devotees at the Plaza entrance. He added that a 10-member Health Department team is deployed at the Gurdwara Sri Harmandir Sahib.
